Curriculum Designer & Coordinator

Job Overview

The Curriculum Designer and Coordinator will design and implement a multi-subject curriculum for grades 1 to 8, ensuring alignment with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The curriculum includes academic syllabi across various subjects, including STEM experiments, Science, Arabic, Urdu, and Islamic Studies. The Coordinator will be supervised by the Principal and will not supervise anyone.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Design (Grades 1-8)

• Advise teaching and administrative staff on curriculum development and the effective use of teaching resources.
• Ensure the science curriculum is aligned with NGSS and CCSS.
• Integrate cutting-edge scientific knowledge into educational programs to provide a contemporary and holistic education.
• Design innovative, student-centered science experiments conducted in a laboratory setting with both Teacher and Student versions.
• Supplement the English, foreign language (Urdu, Arabic) curricula with age-appropriate, relevant, and engaging reading material, coordinating with the foreign language teacher.

Lesson Planning & Pacing Guides

• Create comprehensive pacing guides to ensure timely and effective curriculum delivery in accordance with educational standards.

Teacher Training & Mentorship

• Conduct regular teacher training workshops to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student needs and provide tailored academic support.
• Track teaching staff performance, evaluate their work, and provide mentorship and counseling to guide them in implementing innovative teaching strategies.
