Dress Code, Conduct & Environment

Dress Code & Modesty

At AlSajdah, we maintain an environment rooted in modesty, dignity, and good character. Students are expected to dress in a manner that reflects and upholds these values.

All

  • There is no school uniform; however, Islamic and Sunnah attire is strongly encouraged.
  • Clothing must be clean, modest, loose-fitting, and appropriate for an Islamic environment.
  • Clothing must provide proper coverage and should not be tight, transparent, or revealing.
  • Head covering must be worn throughout the school day (kufi/topi for boys and scarf for girls).
  • Tops must extend below the hips, with full sleeves required for students age 8 and above.
  • Shorts, short skirts, sleeveless clothing, and other immodest attire are not permitted.
  • Hairstyles must be neat, Islamically permissible, and not trend-driven. No dyed hair.
  • Makeup, lipstick, nail polish, body paint, and excessive jewelry are not allowed.
  • Clothing or accessories with inappropriate images or messages are not permitted.

Boys

  • Clothing must be worn above the ankles in accordance with Sunnah.
  • Jewelry is not permitted.

Girls

  • Long skirts, dresses, or loose pants may be worn.
  • Small earrings and henna/mehndi are permitted.
  • Boys and girls must maintain proper Islamic boundaries and appropriate distance at all times.
  • Unnecessary interaction, free mixing, and any physical contact between boys and girls are strictly prohibited.

Conduct & Adab

Students are expected to maintain good conduct and Islamic adab at all times:

  • Use respectful language and tone.
  • Foul, vulgar, insulting, or abusive language is not permitted.
  • Bullying, fighting, and physical aggression are not tolerated.
  • Show honesty, patience, kindness, and cooperation toward others.
  • Resolve conflicts calmly and respectfully.
  • Listen attentively, follow instructions, and maintain proper classroom etiquette.
  • Respect school property and the belongings of others.

Electronics & Personal Items

  • Mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, laptops, calculators, and other electronic devices are not permitted without prior permission from the Administration.
  • Personal toys, gadgets, and entertainment items should remain at home unless permitted.
  • The Academy is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
